Dr. Chenang Liu with the School of Industrial Engineering and Management (IM) at Oklahoma State University is seeking self-motivated Ph.D. students starting from Spring 2024/Fall 2024. The prospective students will receive full financial support and tuition waiver as research assistant or teaching assistant.

Dr. Liu joined the Oklahoma State University as an Assistant Professor in Fall 2019. He has established a Smart Technology and Analytics Research (STARs) Laboratory (Link: https://stars-laboratory.github.io/). STARs lab has been funded by National Science Foundation (NSF), National Institute of Health (NIH), and Oklahoma Center for the Advancement of Science and Technology (OCAST).

The research areas in STARs Lab are focused on advanced data-driven analytics and modeling for manufacturing/healthcare/service systems, which includes but not limited to:

  • Sensing, design, and analytics for smart manufacturing and healthcare;
  • Statistical and data-driven analysis for real-time process quality monitoring and control;
  • Machine learning and data integration for manufacturing, healthcare, and service system;
  • Artificial intelligence and blockchain for engineering applications.

Candidates are expected to have strong motivation and interests in research. Candidates with bachelor’s or master’s degree in statistics, mathematics, computer science, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering or other engineering majors are encouraged to apply.
